Welcome to Woodbridge Academy!

We are excited to introduce you to our Dual Diploma Program, designed specifically for students in Latin America and Spain. This unique opportunity allows students to graduate from their current school and, at the same time, earn an accredited high school diploma from Woodbridge Academy. Here’s how our program works and the advantages it offers:

How the Dual Diploma Program Works

Our Dual Diploma Program is designed to be flexible and accessible, enabling students to complete their regular high school curriculum in Latin America or Spain while earning additional credits through Woodbridge Academy. Here’s a step-by-step overview of the process:

  • Enrollment: Students enroll in Woodbridge Academy’s Dual Diploma Program while continuing their studies at their local high school.
  • Credit Requirements: To earn the Woodbridge Academy diploma, students must complete eight online credits. These credits are carefully selected to complement the local high school curriculum and meet our accreditation standards. You must earn four credits from Math courses (Algebra 1, 2, or PreCalculus) and English Language Arts designed for students whose native language is not English.
  • Math Proficiency: Students must demonstrate proficiency in mathematics by passing a test covering Algebra 1, Algebra 2, or Precalculus. This ensures they meet the necessary academic standards in math.
  • English Proficiency: According to the European Framework, students must show evidence of English proficiency up to level B1. This typically involves passing an English assessment that measures their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
  • Online Learning: Students complete the required courses online, allowing them to study at their own pace and fit the program into their existing schedules. Our dedicated teachers and support staff are available to assist throughout the process.

Advantages of the Dual Diploma Program

  • Enhanced Academic Credentials: Graduating with two high school diplomas – one from your local high school and one from an accredited U.S. institution – significantly enhances your child’s academic profile. It demonstrates their ability to excel in different educational systems and subjects.
  • College and University Opportunities: A U.S. high school diploma can open doors to higher education opportunities worldwide. It may simplify the admissions process to U.S. colleges and universities and can be advantageous when applying to international institutions.
  • Language Proficiency: Proving English proficiency up to level B1 meets the program requirements and equips students with valuable language skills. This proficiency benefits academic, professional, and personal growth in an increasingly globalized world.
  • Academic Rigor: The Dual Diploma Program challenges students to engage with a rigorous academic curriculum, promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning. These skills are essential for success in higher education and beyond.
  • Cultural Exposure: Participating in an international education program broadens students’ cultural horizons. They gain insights into different educational approaches and global perspectives, fostering a more comprehensive worldview.
  • Flexibility: Our online learning platform allows students to balance their studies with other commitments. They can learn at their own pace, making it easier to manage their workload and achieve academic success.

Woodbridge Academy is committed to providing a high-quality education that prepares students for a bright future. Our Dual Diploma Program is designed to give your child a competitive edge and many opportunities. If you have any questions or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to supporting your child’s educational journey!
